The roots of LAPIS go back to 1991, when Aljoša Grom started with the technological development of climbing hold. In one year time Aljoša has finished his first line of climbing holds. At the end of 1996 Aljoša introduced his product to Schlamberger Jaka. They decided to cooperate and to build up a brand LAPIS. The line of holds has been spreading and improving as well in style as in form ever since. Today we offer over 800 different shapes of holds, training board, climbing structures, brush and a narrow clothing line. Climbing Magazine "Klettern" tested in autumn 2001 8 international climbing hold producers. LAPIS climbing holds won the test. Furthermore in the year 2001 LAPIS has gained the certificate that confirms that the holds are being produced according to the European Norm EN 71-3. We were one of the first companies receiving this certificate. In a few years LAPIS has conquered many of the world markets and became the synonym for climbing holds. Today LAPIS stands for innovative problem solving and we are proud of it. You can find LAPIS products in many of the best climbing halls and shops world wide. |
